Beginner Yoga Classes

Beginner classes offer a welcoming entry into the world of yoga, providing a supportive environment for those new to the practice. With gentle guidance from experienced instructors, these classes focus on foundational poses, breathing techniques, and mindfulness.

Evening Yoga

Great for beginners or anyone who wants to unwind! This 60-minute class will begin with slow flow movement and end with a restorative posture or two to take you into a relaxing Savasana. The intention is to help you release mental and physical tension from the day and the week and leave you ready to fall into a good night's sleep. 

Gentle Yoga

Great for beginners or anyone who wants relieve mental and physical tension. This class utilizes props to bring you into each posture with ease. Opening, stretching, and releasing muscle tension are the primary goals, but range of motion is likely to improve over time as we work on lubricating joints. Modifications are offered to suit all levels. Myofacial release will be utilized regularly. Meditation and pranayama are integrated into each practice. Many postures are practiced seated or lying down.

Foundational Hatha

Great for beginners or anyone who wants to revisit the foundation of each pose. These classes will offer detailed instructions on principles for healthy alignment with simple exercises and movement. Not only will you learn to work with your body with precision and insight, each class is intentionally designed to nourish your soul by including themes, philosophy, prayers, and other ways to connect mind body.

All Levels Hatha

Whether you are a longtime practitioner, new to yoga, or are ready to integrate a spiritual practice this class is for you. Variations and modifications will be offered so you may adjust poses based on your experience, your intention for the class, or just how your body is feeling. We encourage students to use this time to build community and use the tools offered to reconnect with your body and SOUL.

All Levels Vinyasa

We'll practice in the vinyasa tradition - pacing movement with the breath.Whether you are a longtime practitioner, new to yoga, or are ready to integrate a spiritual practice, this class is for you. Variations and modifications will be offered so you may adjust poses based on your experience, your intention for the class, or just how your body is feeling. We encourage students to use this time to build community and use the tools offered to reconnect with your body & SOUL.

Flow and Renew

Go ahead. Take your time. This 90 minute class is designed to help you unravel from the perpetual fast pace of life. Flow mindfully through each breath and pose, releasing stress and tension. Then, settle in for some focused relaxation in an extended savasana pose at the end of each class. It’s the perfect antidote for your busy week.

Hatha + Nidra

In this 75-minute class, we'll move through traditional hatha yoga postures for 50-55 minutes and follow our asana practice with a short (15-20 minute) yoga nidra. Yoga Nidra is a mind-body practice that involves conscious relaxation. We unfold physical, mental, and emotions tensions through focusing on different areas of the body, mindful breathing, and visualization. When practiced regularly, Yoga Nidra can lead to a deeper level of awareness. This is 15 to 20 minutes of restful rejuvenation! End your day with mindful movement, intention, and rest.

Level 2 Hatha

Join Jill for a midday practice focused on aligning the body and the mind. We'll use key actions and alignment principles to fully engage with postures physically and mentally. You might just go a little deeper in your practice as you cultivate body awareness and mental focus. Enter the afternoon refreshed and rejuvenated. Some yoga experience is useful.

Mat Pilates

Be challenged, have fun, get energized, grow stronger! This class will involve a structured series of exercises created by Joseph Pilates, focusing on breath, body alignment, control, and strength. These exercises will be performed on the ground, with a core-centric focus. Regular, consistent attendance is recommended to help build strength through progression.

Noon Hatha

All yogis welcome. Take a break mid-day to reconnect with Self. You should feel comfortable in these classes whether you are a beginner or have practiced yoga for many years. Variations and modifications will be offered so you may adjust poses based on your experience, your intention for the class, or just how your body is feeling.

Rise and Flow

This early morning class will wake up the body and work out any morning stiffness. A slow and strong flow will use motion to lubricate all of the body’s joints and bring activity and energy to the muscles of the body. Start your day by taking care of your body and mind and then move through the rest of your day with grace and ease!

Yin

Great for beginners! This gentle practice targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. Passive postures are held for 3 to 5 minutes so that the muscles can release and connective tissues and joints can open. Deep breathing and relaxation are emphasized. This type of practice complements other active styles of yoga and creates new depth in postures, deeper range of motion, and increased circulation.
